Manifestation Through Soul Work

" Manifestation is an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something, especially a theory or abstract idea. It’s a sign of alignment."

When I initially thought about the things I wanted to obtain for the new year, creating a vision board seemed like the appropriate way to emulate the life I desired. A couple weekends after I rang in the new year, myself and a couple of the girls headed up north here in Chicago for a weekend of arts and craft. We got our boards, magazines, colored markers, and pens. But not even half way through the project, I found myself unexcited and not connecting with my vision board. It was an indescribable feeling because everything I had on my board connected with what I wanted for my life. After that evening, I threw my board in the back seat of my car and there it sits till this present day. I didn’t put much thought into why I wasn't connecting with my vision board until I later decided I wanted to make a prayer box instead.

"Prayer addresses a solemn request or expression of thanks to a deity or other object of worship. Prayer awakens something deeper in us. One might call it the sixth sense, or hidden power of the soul derived from God."

I saw one of my followers on Instagram @ashleyashleeashleyy make one and I instantly got excited about it. I’ve always connected with prayer in the form of writing. I can remember being a young girl journaling my prayers in a diary. It was a moment to ask, but also a moment to sit and process the things happening in my life, unknowingly. Similar to my blogs and writing currently. When I started my blog, I intended for it to be a place to share my experiences and offer advice to aspiring and current nurses. As my writing progresses I’ve found solace in writing my experiences beyond nursing. A key reason in why my blog will be transitioning into a broaden horizon in the near future. Writing is vastly expressive and truly allows me to feel my emotions. Creating a prayer box made me feel connected again.

In my opinion, manifestation and prayer are two different things. Everything I gained in life is through the source of God. I do believe there is power in the tongue and speaking the life you want to cultivate into existence. However, I think that source of power is derived directly from God. He supplies us with the tools and mindset to create and essentially manifest our aspirations. My all-time favorite scripture Psalms 46:5 states, “God is within her, she will not fail.” In knowing that God is within me, I know that I hold his same strength and can move any mountain that I speak to through His power. Anything that I breathe life into multiplies through His grace and mercy. Maybe a vision board felt too self ordained to me, I’m not sure. I had a conversation with my therapist shortly after making my vision board to decompress my feelings about not being connected to my goals as I thought I was. She posed a question to me, “What makes you feel connected in life?”. My answer ranged from a couple different things but two that stood out was the feeling of being loved while expressing love and having peace. None of which my vision board reflected. I was filling my basket up with “things”. Becoming a travel nurse, obtaining financial freedom, my five year plan, continuing my natural hair care journey (no but seriously). I had things on my vision board of value, but not of value to my inner soul.

Where as my prayer box soundly touched my core. Divinely prayer reaches my true self, my emotions and who I am beyond the things I want to accomplish in life. Don’t get me wrong, my box was still filled with things such as becoming a travel nurse, but I was able to implement the why behind it and really connect with that feeling. My therapist likes to give me homework assignments following our sessions. That week she wanted me to meditate on “feeling”. Allowing myself to feel the manifestation of my goals. A vision board gave me no feeling, hence why I didn't connect to it. A big part of manifestation is connecting and truly feeling what you desire as if it were true already. As well as knowing what forms of manifestation truly connects to you. A vision board was not for me, clearly. But prayer connects me to a higher being, a higher connection and feeling. It triggers that tingly feeling of joy and excitement about life. Manifesting our life is more than checking things off our goal list. We can have all the desires of the world, but if it isn't connecting to our inner self and that little voice who speaks to us so softly we can still have feelings of inadequacy. What I love about prayer is that you when you seek manifestation of your life, when prayed correctly God reveals to you his manifestations along with what you thought you needed and desired. He fulfils those gray areas, that I failed to implement into my vision board, that my soul was calling out for. Manifestation is more than proclaiming your desires, but also implementing the soul work to feel your highest vibration.

Briefly, I’ll share some of my tips that I use to manifest the extraordinary life God always wanted for me. Hopefully you too can find your prophetic way of manifesting your aspirations as well

  • Prayer Life, in combination with reading the bible

  • Journaling, writing, scripting

  • Affirmations

  • Set measurable, realistic goals

Get clarity on what you want, while addressing your why for wanting it. Think beyond the “things” of this world. Ask for it, mentally prepare to receive it. Trust that it’s yours already and claim it. Take action and let go of fear. Reinforce it daily by way of what works for you: pray about it, journal it, meditate, affirmations, vision boards, goal list. Plan it out! Vibe high and manifest tf out of your life!
